Substance Name: Naphtha (oil sand)
- A complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained by the distillation of the products of a bitumen cracking process. It consists primarily of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C4 through C19. It has an aromatic content above 5% and boils in the range of approximately 25 degrees C to 325 degrees C (77 degrees F to 617 degrees F). It is the feed for a naphtha hydrotreater.
