Substance Name: Lubricating oils, used, vacuum distd., clay-treated
- A complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained by subjecting waste lubricating oils to a distillation process culminating in two final thin film evaporation stages at 371 degrees C (700 degrees F) and 5mm Hg total pressure. This distillate is then treated in a clay contacting process in which the distilled oil is mixed with clay and the clay and particulate contaminants are filtered out. It consists primarily of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers in the range of C20 to C40.
